Dance Attire
Items may be purchased online at Discount Dance Supply (discountdance.com) using Studio Code TP54868 or purchased locally at Dance 'N Things or Applause Dancewear.
  • Pre-Ballet & Tap Classes:  Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, white tap shoes with tap ties (no ribbons please). Hair securely fastened in a bun.
  • Ballet and Pointe Classes:  Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and/or pink pointe shoes.  Hair securely fastened in a bun.
  • Tap & Jazz Combined:  Black leotard, tan or pink tights, tan jazz shoes, tan tap shoes w/elastics, not laces.  Hair pulled away from face.
  • Jazz Classes:  Tan Jazz shoes, any color leotard, black or tan tights or black jazz pants.  Hair pulled away from face.
  • Tap Classes:  Black leotard, tan lace-up shoes, pink or tan tights.  Hair pulled away from face.
  • Hip Hop:  Shorts and T-shirt or leotard, tennis shoes.
  • Boys:  White t-shirt, black bike shorts or jazz pants, tan tap shoes, black ballet shoes or black jazz shoes.
  • Character:  Black leotard, pink tights, black skirt (purchase from ADA), black Character shoes Capezio Junior Foot Light 1.5 inch heel style 550.
  • Lyrical:  Leotard and tights of any color, no shoes.
  • Acro:  Leotard of any color, no tights, form-fitting shorts (no soffe shorts or athletic shorts).

General Policies:
  1. No Gum chewing allowed in any class.  Please do not wear watches, bracelets or long earrings.
  2. Missing Classes:  As consistency is imperative for progress, we encourage all students to attend all classes. Excessive absences may result in falling behind the class. Students are allowed to make up any missed class of comparable level.  No refunds/credits are given for missed classes.
  3. Students who wish to withdraw from a class must submit a written 30-day withdrawal notification.  Student is responsible for monthly tuition until written notification is received.

Holidays:
The Alabama Dance Academy will close for the following holidays:
CLASSES BEGIN – Monday, August 12, 2024
LABOR DAY – Monday, September 2, 2024
HALLOWEEN -  Thursday. October 31, 2024
THANKSGIVING – Monday, November 25 through Saturday, November 30, 2024
CHRISTMAS/WINTER BREAK – Monday, December 23 through Tuesday, January 6, 2025
SPRING BREAK – Monday, March 24 - Saturday, March 29th, 2025


Inclement Weather:
In the event of inclement weather, the Alabama Dance Academy will close in most but not all cases if the Hoover City Schools close. Keep a check on our Bulletin Board page for school closures.
